10-30-16 Riding in Buchanan County.

Sunday Oct. 30 2016 I went riding with my friend Barry.
I was riding my KTM LC4 400 E.
Barry was riding his KTM EXC 450.
We made a nice 24 mile loop. Beginning on asphalt, then dirt, mud, and rocks, asphalt, then more dirt, mud and rocks and back on asphalt. It was a great day of riding with easy to difficult stuff to ride.

Until next time..........

10-29-16 Spearhead Trials Coal Canyon

Myself, Gomer, and 3 friends rode the Coal Canyon Trails in Buchanan County Virginia today. This was free ride day so we took advantage of that.
I was riding my KTM LC4 400 E.
Gomer was riding his newly acquired Honda XR650L
Barry was riding a KTM 450 EXC
Randy was riding a Yamaha WR250R
Freddy was riding a Yamaha XT250
This is the second time I rode these trails. The first time I didn't enjoy them as much. But this time was much better. They have added a lot more trails since the first time, plus, I think the fact that we were all riding dual sport bikes made it even better. Most the trails are blue or green level rated, but there's a few steep hills with loose rock, gravel and sand that gave a trouble a few times. We probably rode around 25 miles of trails, with Gomer traveling a total of around 52 miles from home, on the trails, and back home, and I traveled a total of around 60 miles.
All and all it was a great day of riding!

See ya next time!

7-23-16 Another Homecreek Ride

6 hour ride today. But less than 30 miles. Never been so tired. I thought my arms would fall off on the steep, rocky downhills.

First obstacle was a downed tree.

Trail Wings are no good going uphill in sandy, shale, rocky soil.

So hot and humid we had to remove our helmets to feel like we were getting air.

We rode pavement, gravel, mud, 2 lane, 1 lane, 2 track, single track, and no track.

I belly flopped my bike for the first time since I bought it last year. Glad Gomer was there to pick it up.

It was a great day of riding, but I'm worn out.

Time to fold the mirrors down.

Just a little mud.

Waiting on Gomer at the meeting place.

There's a WR500 over there somewhere.

We got the KTM drug through the fallen tree.

We need a selfie stick.

Went that way, wasn't worth it.

Went that way, Great Riding!

At this point, I didn't think I would get my bike out of there.

Air Hammer Surgery.

He has the Blackberry Brier Blues.
